The Seiden Law Firm Wins $2.7 Million Verdict
Relating to Client's Stroke to Rear End Car Accident
On April 17, 2007, Seiden Law Firm attorneys Tracey Baker and Henry A. Seiden won a $2.7 million jury verdict in Miami-Dade County (Fla.) Circuit Court for client Valda Bell arising from a rear-end car accident in which the only visible property damage was a cracked taillight.

Mr. Seiden and Ms. Baker successfully proved Ms. Bell's car sustained more substantial property damage and that Ms. Bell's accident-caused, stress-producing neck pain aggravated her long-standing diabetes and hypertension, resulting in Ms. Bell, 66, suffering a stroke seven months after the accident.
Defendants Kim and Ludvico Dieli were insured for $50,000 by State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company. As a result of a second lawsuit alleging bad faith and intentional misconduct, State Farm did not appeal the verdict and paid Ms. Bell the entire $2,700,000 within three weeks after the verdict.
